Luther-Hotel Wittenberg
Discover World History
The Lutherstadt Wittenberg and the whole region is inseparably linked to one name – the theologian Martin Luther.
His understanding of the gospel has transformed the spiritual life of many Christians fundamentally, has lead to the foundation of the Lutheran church and even today, almost 500 years later, it is an important guideline and invitation to many to become acquainted with the gospel. If you experience a church service in the Stadtkirche St. Marien, the church where Luther preached regularly, you will feel the spirit, the power and the hope of the Reformation.
This fascinating period 500 years ago was much more, however. Lutherstadt Wittenberg was the centre of the major changes of the 16th century in politics, culture, art and education. The whole region bears witness to this day of these developments. We, the team of the Luther Hotel, are looking forward to in your discoveries and to bring to life history.
